Baggage Allowance for Nile Air

The details of checked and unchecked baggage with Nile Air are as below:

Excess Baggage

Passengers with checked baggage exceeding the allowance stated will be subject to excess baggage fees per kilogram.

Nile Air will also charge extra fees for outsized dimensions and special-purpose equipment. Cabin baggage must comply with the following rules:

• Carry-on baggage: A handbag or laptop bag not exceeding 22 x 15 x 8 inches (56 x 36 x 23cm) and weighing no more than 7kg.
• Passengers with infants: 1 extra piece of checked-in baggage is allowed. It mustn't exceed 55 x 38 x 20 cm & 10kg. Also, one carry-cot or one fully collapsible stroller is allowed in the cabin if there is room. If not, these items must be checked, but they will not count against the baggage allowance.
• Bags: You can check 2 Bags maximum. Yet, each bag must weigh less than 32 kg.
• Damaged Baggage: Nile Air may reject baggage that is damaged or in poor condition.

Free of Charge Items:

• Infants' food for consumption in flight
• Infants' carry-cot
• Fully collapsible wheelchairs/ crutches/ walking sticks/ prosthetic devices

Onboard liquids must comply with international regulations as follows:

• All liquids, pastes, lotions, creams, drinks, gels and aerosols must be kept in containers.
• Containers must be put in transparent re-sealable plastic bags of one-liter maximum.
• Containers, not in re-sealable plastic bags and/or larger than 100 ml, even if partially filled, won't be accepted. 

Lost or Damaged Baggage

• In case of lost/ damaged baggage, passengers must complain to the Nile Air representative/ personnel at the airport. 
• Notice must be given within 7 days in case of damage and 21 days in case of delay.
• Nile Air's liability for checked baggage does not exceed 1,131 SDRs, as specified by the Montreal Convention.
• Nile Air is not liable for damage to unchecked baggage, unless it was caused by agent carelessness.

Nile Air is not liable for damage to baggage, including personal valuables items that should be carried by the passenger or in the carry-on baggage. 

• Scratches, scuffs, minor cuts, dents, dirt and stains
• Loss of external locks, zipper tabs, security straps, or pull straps
• Baggage are accepted under the conditions of the Limited Release Tag (LRT)
• Damage to wheels, feet or extending handles
• Damage to fragile or perishable items
• Damage due to over-packed baggage
• Items confiscated by airport authorities or security
